The court said cheerleading isnt a sport? Weird. I just cant help biut wounder how golf is a sport than? Seriously to get ready for gold you dont go run a mile and stretch do all the core exercises, legs and arms excercises to. I would liek to see half the people that say cheerleading isnt a sport to actually try it. Its hard work, and takes alot of time and effort. Do you think its easy to come up with a dance and all the counts to the dance and different parts to it. Than teach 25 or more girls the counts and moves to it than set it to the music and set them in their spots and teach them where they need to move to, to go to their new spots. Not just the dance and the moves to that but also the cheer and all the words and movements that go with the words. No its not easy i would love to see just anyone try and do it. I guarantee you couldnt. I give a lot of credit to the coaches that teach all of us. To learn and memorize the full rutine its hard. Every girl has different counts at times and does something different so its hard.
Some people say that if its being judged than its not a sport. But if you think about it everything is being judged, the reffs at a football game have to judge whether the touchdown counted or not and the reffs for other games have to judge whether the goal, shot, basket or runs counted. Every sport is being judged. In vollyball the reff that sits up top of the net has to judge the plays during the whole matches. So yes i do believe every sport is being judged.
I play Lacrosse and Vollyball to and i have to say that Cheerleading practices are so much more harder than lacrosse and vollyball. By the end of a cheerleading practice im drentched in sweatr and im tired and out of breath. But With Vollyball and Lacrosse im hardley ever like that by the time practice is over. Yeah i sweat during lacrosse cause its outside in the 90 degrees heat but when i go to open gyms inside i hardly sweat like i do in cheerleading and yeahh vollyball i did sweat but i was never out of breath, and i didnt sweat like i did in cheerleading practice and i was never sore in either of thoughs two sports like i was in cheerleading.
So yeah i think that Cheerleading is a sport no one can change my mind on that.
